A Hint of Autumn

It is time for me to thank all of the people I have met in Eugene who helped me in my transition. I am glad that the evening breezes are a little cooler and the days have been cloudy. I am sure there will be more hot days ahead. More days to go kayaking! I finally got myself in and paddled along through the little canal and lake near my apartment. I got some correct paddling instruction from a couple each in their own kayak. They also took me to where I can park within feet of the stream rather than hauling it the way I did. Much less strain on the body that way.

I am really enjoying being able to work on my music. I am trying to break the Netflix habit at least for part of the day. This week I finished two songs that I wrote in the 1980's. Wow, 39 years! I had to grow into the music, I guess.

From Late August on through November is my favorite time of year. (That is until Spring blooms hit.) I love the crisp air, and the sense that everything is glowing gold in the lowering sun. It is my preparatory time.

So, are you ready to take stock of where you are and where you want to be before next year? Are you willing to take this time to applaud yourself for your effort regardless of whether you were successful or not? Can you forgive yourself for failing? Can you laugh at the gyrations we all go through to show we are perfect (BTW we AREN'T). Did you spend time with loved ones? Do you have pictures of their smiles and laughter to look back on when you need them? Do you play with your pets? Did you walk barefoot in newly mowed grass? Put your feet in a stream or go swimming? Think of all the ways that people could show their love for you - then do those things FOR them. They need it too. I bet pretty soon they will do them for you.

If you're in a relationship that is hurtful, disrespectful or abusive please contact a shelter organization. You will protect the child within yourself, just as you protect your own children. You can get information at https://www.domesticshelters.org/help/or

Things are only as hard as you let them be. Get the emotion out of your decisions and look at the pros and cons. Choose to change when the cons outweigh the pros. It is our perception which determines outcomes. Take my hand, we can do this together. https://www/einensings.com
