Eden Again Permaculture Begins!

The weather is finally changing. The days are growing longer. I'm working in the garden again! I just measured the proportions of my first permaculture project - replacing an old rotten fence with raised beds and steps down to a small orchard (I got the idea from this picture). I have been studying a lot about permaculture and permaculture design, as well as forest gardening and other techniques for making food in a small space and enriching the environmental impact rather than depleting it.

Although it appears daunting as I will need to do the majority of the work myself, I am still excited to see the result of my efforts. It is the fruition of effort that brings satisfaction.
